My Favorite Hostess Gifts

December 6, 2016 4 Comments

One of the things I love most about the Christmas season is when people open their lives to host friends, family, and acquaintances in their homes.  It’s such a wonderful way to really get to know people on a more personal level.  When I am invited into someone’s home I like to bring them a little something to say thank you.  In December, with all the festivities, that can add up to a lot of hostess gifts which means a lot of $$$.  So, I’m sharing a couple of my favorite ideas for hostess gifts at very affordable prices.

My favorite hostess gifts are candles.  That’s probably because I love candles!!!  You can buy them pretty much anywhere but my favorite for the quality and price are from Bath and Body Works.  The three wick candles there usually sell for $22.50.  However, candles usually go on sale every other week or so there from anywhere to $8.50 – $12.50 a piece.  They just had an amazing sale this weekend, each candle was $8.50 and they had a coupon for $10 off $30 spent.  I bought four of them with the coupon and the final cost was $6.00 per candle!!!   I like to stock up on these.  I buy a few every so often during one of their sales in a scent of the season.  One for me and the others I give for hostess gifts.  Also, Just so y’all know…Bath and Body Works is not sponsoring this post, I just really love their products and affordability.

Bath and Body Works also sells the most amazing smelling hand soaps in all kinds of scents.  If you watch sales for these you can get them for $2-$3.00 a piece.  I like to give them with a hand towel.  Monogrammed hand towels can be extra nice if you have a little time to shop for them ahead of time.  You can wrap the soap and the hand towel up with a ribbon or pretty it up in a gift bag.

throw2

Throws, pillows, or something comfy can make a nice gift for your hostess as well.  These require some shopping around. You can often find some for under $10 at places like Ross, Marshall’s, Target, Walmart, and Kohl’s.

soapFood, you can never go wrong with food.  Make or buy something yummy and serve it on a cake stand, plate, or dish for your hostess to keep.  I like to stock up on things like this at Ross and the dollar spot at Target.  They have some super cute things for really great prices.

Hoping this post was a help to you and inspires some gift ideas for your next hostess.  Enjoy your parties and thanks for stopping by.
